Birches Resort (Boot Lake)
Located on 250 wooded acres, bordering
beautiful Boot Lake in the unexploited town of Springstead, Wisconsin are twelve
housekeeping cottages. Each with its own unique view of the lake.

The cottages are decorated with knotty pine
wall coverings, giving them a beautiful, rustic
appearance. The kitchens are equipped with refrigerators, gas stoves, and
stocked with dishes, silverware and other kitchen utensils. All cottages are
furnished with blankets and bed linens. Please provide your own towels.
The Birches Resort is now open year 'round with
the addition of our recently constructed Motel/Kitchenettes.

A beautiful peninsula
setting on 180 acre DNR stocked boot lake.
Four, clean, modern, carpeted, two bedroom cabins with showers
and gas heat. A 14ft Lund boat comes with rental. Motors for rent,
boat launch and covered dock for privately owned craft. Safe sand
beach with waterslide and raft. Swinging horses merry-go-round,
volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, picnic tables, grills and TV's.

There are rustic, family and group campsites available on various islands of the
Turtle Flambeau Flowage. There is also 1 Accessible Campsite for persons with
physical disabilities. For detailed information on campsite regulations call
the Wisconsin Dept of Natural Resources at (715) 476-7846. You may also
contact the Mercer Chamber of Commerce
for an Island Camping Guide about which islands currently permit camping and
regulations.
