Winter is no time to skip Springstead!!  Located just south of the Lake Superior "snow belt", the Springstead area enjoys a healthy annual snowfall that allows for a wide variety of winter activities.

Iron County offers 100's of miles of groomed snowmobile trails and a growing number of cross-country ski trails.  Snowshoeing and sledding are also popular winter activities.  And, less than 50-miles to the north are some of the best ski resorts in the Midwest.
